Sagra is an Italian village festival. The festival season starts in May and ends at the end of October. The main theme is always connected with a specialty of the place e.g. Sagra Della Castagna, Sagra Del Stoccafisso. The whole village cooks together and puts together a menu series depending on main theme of the celebration. Everyone who loves eating and celebrating is welcome. After the meal a live band invites for a dance up to the early hours of the morning. If you are moving through the villages and you see motley signposts, that is usually the advert of the hosting village. Take the opportunity to go to a Sagra, feast on the local delicacies, celebrate and dance together with the local people. You will be impressed!
Vele d'Epoca
Vele d Epoca is one of the greatest sailing events which takes place in Imperia every 2 years. You can marvel at many different sailing yachts from allover the world that take part in several competitions. Apart from the competitions there are many exhibitions and events concerning sailing.
This year too you can visit the Vele d Epoca from the 8th to 12th September, 2010.
