Beskrivelse

I hjertet af byen Diano Marina, nær stranden promenaden er Casa Laura. Den rummelige lejlighed ligger på øverste tredje sal og har et soveværelse med en dobbeltseng og en enkeltseng, et køkken med spisebord, et badeværelse og en stue med havudsigt. Casa Laura er det ældste hus i Diano Marina. Ca. 20 meter fra stranden i gågaden del af byen, det har udsigt over havet. Det har været smukt renoveret og indrettet i lokal stil. Casa Laura er ideel for strand elskere og folk, der ønsker at spise typiske italienske retter. Diano Marina har mange butikker, restauranter, barer og caféer, der tjener tidligt om morgenen din espresso og brioche. Fra Casa Laura, er der mange relevante ture langs den liguriske kyst eller i landet til foden af Alperne.

On the plain that is crossed by the San Pietro river, an area showing signs of Iron Age settlement, there once stood "Lucus Bormani", the sacred wood dedicated to the water god Borman, which in Roman times became an important resting place along the Via Julia Augusta. Saracen incursions in the later Middle Ages forced the inhabitants to take to the highlands, but from the thirteenth century onwards Diano expanded and became especially important as a commercial centre for the sea trading of olive oil.






After the town was destroyed by an earthquake in 1887, reconstruction work gave Diano an appearance typical of a nineteenth-century Riviera town. The parish church of Sant'Antonio Abate on the Via Aurelia dates from 1862: the marble altars date from the seventeenth century and are situated in the neo-classical interior near to frescoes and paintings from the Genoese school, including the "Death of Saint Joseph" by Luca Cambiaso. The civic museum tells the story of Diano Marino through the centuries and preserves archaeological exhibits from pre-Roman and Roman times (including amphorae and vases from a ship that sank off the coast) and objects from the Napoleonic era and the Risorgimento.

Since Diano was rebuilt, tourism has been the undisputed vocation of a town which offers sandy beaches surrounded by Mediterranean maquis. With its tourist harbour and facilities and the opportunity to practise a variety of sports (from traditional diving to go-karting, bowling and minigolf), Diano Marina is the heart of the Gulf. If you wish, you can take a boat that passes by the most important locations along the Riviera dei Fiori and takes you to do some whale-watching off the coast. A great event is the marvellous display of flowers during the solemn time of Corpus Domini (between May and June): the streets of the town are covered with flowers arranged in special patterns.

    Besonders abends ein Besuch in Cervo ist empfehlenswert. Eigentümerin hat während unseres Aufenthaltes eine neue Waschmaschine aufstellen lassen. Sie war sehr nett und hat sich höflich für diese Störung entschuldigt.

    Family Café, der Alfredo ist so grosszügig, zaubert immer wieder neue Kreationen von Häppli, sehr kinderfreunldich (Kickboard zum Benutzen, Wickeltisch im WC + Windeln) Sauber, sehr, sehr familiär. Er hat uns so sehr verwöhnt

    Bei Besuch der größeren Städte, wie Nizza, Monte Carlo ode Genova, einfach die Bahn nutzen. Kein Auto-Stress und mann ist auch am Ziel und das preisgünstig und ausgeruht. Imperia (Oneglia) - Olivenmuseum besichtigen! Super gemacht mit deutscher Broschüre; Eintritt kostenlos. Ein Muss - Genova Aquarium am Hafen.- mit der Bahn bis Stazione P.Prinzipe - zur Info am Ausgang und dort einen kleinen Stadtplan holen, zum Aquaris sind es ca. 10 min zu Fuß + Richtig italienisch Eis - dann am besten La Cialda - auf dem Weg zum Bahnübergang (von der Fußgängerzone aus) , linke Seite +Parken - am besten am Sportzentrum - Bahnübergang (Richtung Diano Castello) sofort nach Übergang rechts abbiegen, ca. 100 - freies parken + machen sie eine Rundfahrt mit dem Tour-Zug, eine kleine Stadtrundfahrt - Abfahrt Strandpromenade Richtung Imperia + Diano Castello besichtigen mit Führung, danach oder extra mal ein Vino Bianco gleich am Anfang des Castello Italienurlauber brauchen einen Steckdosenadapter um ihre Geräte anschließen zu können! Bitte Hinweis geben! - trotzdem vergessen? - gib`s auch vor Ort im Elektro-Laden (ca. 2,-?)

    Es gab keinen Garten, Terrasse oder Balkon. Die Gegend ist wunderschön, egal wohin man fährt. Die Besitzerin der Wohnung war sehr nett, die Lage des Wohnhauses herrlich. Nur sollte etwas in die Einrichtung investiert werden. Augenblicklich ist sie ein Sammelsorium aus billigen Restbeständen. Waschmaschine und Kühlschrank können direkt ins Museum gestellt werden.
